Galetech Energy Services (GES), part of the wider Galetech Group is a specialist renewable energy advisory/consultancy company that provides planning, environmental and advisory support to our clients on a wide range of wind, solar, storage and emerging renewable energy technology and projects. We are Irish owned and our team includes over 120 people.
The Galetech Group are market leading specialists in the development of renewable energy projects in Ireland, Africa, Australia and across Europe. To date we have delivered over 350MW of wind capacity, and we currently have 680MW of onshore, 2GW of offshore in addition to 300MW of energy storage in our development pipeline and we are showing no signs of slowing down.
Within the GES division we support our inhouse development team but also have a wide array of clients that we work closely with on all facets of their renewable energy aspirations. We are looking for energetic, passionate and self-motivated people to join our ever-growing team. People who have the ability to problem solve and be able to deliver projects to deadlines, whilst working in a dynamic environment; both as part of a team and on their own initiative. This is an exciting role and is perfect for anyone who has an interest in renewable energy and sustainability. An engineering or technical background would be advantageous but not essential.

What you will be doing:
This is a varied role with involvement in projects within the wind, solar, storage, battery storage, hydrogen and even residential sectors.
Depending on project case load the successful candidate may be involved in:
Client / stakeholder management
Conducting aspects of due diligence for clients – technical / commercial / financial
Preparing high level maps for planning applications, landowners, and stakeholders.
Designing detailed energy storage layouts and applying constraints.
Involvement in the operations of wind, solar and storage facilities
Communicating with all internal departments involved with projects.
Developing, revising and amending existing designs in-line with project requirements.
Managing various project designs, all at different stages of completion.
Executing renewable site findings and detailed site feasibility’s studies
Support our offices in Australia / Africa with client requirements
Data analysis and interpretation
Involvement in project financial modellingWho we are looking for:
Someone who has technical experience, ideally in an electrical / energy focused role
Someone who has keen attention to detail and who can work with a high level of accuracyin-line with project description.•
A designer who can multitask and juggle deadlines.
An individual who has the ability to work on their own initiative as well as part of a team.
A person who is technically minded and who is a natural problem solver.
A person who likes variety and is excited at the prospect of working on projects where eachone is unique and each carries its own set of challenges and learning opportunities.
A team player who enjoys working with a wide variety of colleagues and stakeholders.
Ideally with previous design experience with preferably a College Degree or Designqualification or equivalent, but not essential
A creative person with a working knowledge of 3D AutoCAD and experience of working withGIS visualisation tools is highly desirable.
