To date we have delivered over 300MW of wind capacity, and we currently have 680MW of onshore, 2GW of offshore in addition to 300MW of energy storage in our development pipeline and we are showing no signs of slowing down. 


We are looking for a Power-to-X Engineer to join our ever growing team. This is an exciting role and is perfect for anyone who is passionate about making our energy transition happen. Power-to-X is essential in achieving a carbon neutral society that meets an increasing demand for energy.

What you will do:


  • Carry out design development activities for Power-to-X projects, particularly hydrogen and ammonia projects. Activities include Technical Requirements, Technology Assessments, Optioneering, Site Feasibility, Hazard Studies, Concept Design

  • Support the development of Techno-Economic studies and Business Opportunity Reports to initiate new project development

  • Produce technical insight reports for Business Development

  • Manage knowledge related to low carbon technologies and communicate to appropriate internal stakeholders

  • Model key technology components, e.g electrolysers and compressors (techno-economic models)

  • Manage key business intelligence parameters such as national renewables targets, commodity prices and technology specific parameters


What we are looking for:


  • A candidate who has experience in the energy sector or relevant industry in an engineering role with an appreciation of the opportunities/challenges of achieving the Net Zero objective.

  • Someone with technical knowledge of MW scale wind turbines and/or solar parks.

  • A person with the ability to apply relevant development & design principles to projects to ensure technical requirements are well defined and achieved to meet the business case.

  • Someone comfortable exploring  new opportunities and identifying key differentiators that can add value to a project.

  • Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Excel

  • An engineer who is flexible and open-minded and possess a good sense of humour and enjoys the social work environment.

  • English language proficiency is important as the Engineer will be tasked with composing complex technical reports and documentation.

  • Chemical synthesis plants (Methanol, Ammonia, SAF)

  • Pyrolysis, Hydrothermal Liquefaction, or similar processes

  • Anaerobic Digestion

  • Energy systems

  • Energy export
