The Maritime Area Planning Bill, a key component of the National Marine Planning Framework (NMPF) š®šŖš
On December 17th 2021 the Houses of the Oireachtas passage of this Bill solidified efforts to mitigate climate change by decarbonizing our energy resources through the development of offshore renewable energy. The bill will also embed robust environmental assessments in every part of the planning decision.
Setting industry standards on how planning procedures are implemented is fundamental to the Galetech Group ethos. This new bill gives legal underpinning to an entirely new marine planning system. This reform will facilitate the work already being delivered by Galetech Energy Developments Ltd. and Galetech Energy Services as they continue delivering projects that contribute towards achieving Irelandās #climateactionplan.
