
Corragh Wind Farm Project
The Carrickallen Wind Farm was granted planning permission by An Bord Pleanála in 2014 . It is located near Bindoo and Mountain Lodge wind farms in Co. Cavan. The development comprises 10 no. wind turbines and all ancillary infrastructure including turbine foundations, crane hardstandings, site entrances, access tracks, internal wind farm underground cabling, a meteorological mast and all associated site development works.
Carrickallen is a joint ownership between Galetech Energy and Greencoat Renewables
It has been operational since January 2019.

About The Project
Carrickallen Wind Farm is a consented wind energy development. It comprises of wind turbines with blade tip heights of up to 68 m, each generating 20.5 megawatts. The project includes turbine foundations, access tracks and crane hardstands, underground cabling to connect the turbines, an on-site electricity control building and a grid connection to the appropriate node on the national electricity network.
The development is located near Bindoo and Mountain Lodge wind farms in Co. Cavan. Collectively, the turbines generate enough clean, renewable electricity to supply too around 13,700 houses each year.
