Safety Leadership & Culture
Safety leadership is demonstrated through visible commitment, clear accountability, and consistent behaviours. Our leaders set the standard by planning work safely, engaging with teams, and reinforcing expectations on site and in the field.
Every individual has the authority and responsibility to speak up and Stop Work if conditions are unsafe. We believe strong safety performance is achieved through open communication, teamwork, and shared ownership.
Planned Works & Risk Controls
We identify hazards early and manage risk through structured planning and effective controls. This includes task-specific risk assessments, RAMS/JSA, permit systems, and competent supervision.
By planning work thoroughly and controlling risk at source, we reduce uncertainty, improve coordination, and ensure high-risk activities are managed safely and consistently.
Critical Risk Management
We place particular focus on managing high-consequence risks associated with construction and renewable energy projects. These include working at height, lifting operations, plant and vehicle movements, electrical safety, and temporary works.
Controls are defined during planning and verified during execution to ensure risks are managed before work begins and throughout the task.
Training & Competence
Competence is essential to safe delivery. We ensure our people have the appropriate training, experience, and supervision to carry out their roles safely.
This includes structured inductions, task-specific training, refresher programmes, and ongoing competency assessments. The right people, properly prepared, are key to maintaining safe operations.
Health, Wellbeing & Fitness for Work
We support the physical and mental wellbeing of our workforce and promote fitness for work across all activities. Fatigue, wellbeing, and health risks are actively managed to support safe performance and sustainable working practices.
A healthy workforce contributes directly to safer outcomes on site and in the field.
Reporting, Learning & Improvement
We encourage the reporting of hazards, near misses, and incidents without fear of blame. This allows us to identify trends, address underlying causes, and implement corrective actions.
Learning from experience is central to our approach. Findings are shared across teams to strengthen controls, improve behaviours, and continually enhance safety performance.
