Challenge

• Coordinating a dual-technology project combining large-scale solar generation with significant battery storage capacity.
• Navigating complex grid, planning, and environmental requirements associated with hybrid renewable projects.

Solution

• Close, embedded collaboration with Gresham House since 2023 to streamline all development activities.
• Structured, multi-disciplinary Owner’s Engineer oversight to de-risk design, grid integration, and construction readiness.
• Proactive programme management to ensure a smooth transition from pre-construction to site mobilisation in early 2025.
• Integration of PSDP responsibilities to maintain a cohesive approach to safety and design coordination.

Outcome

• The project secured success in the recent Government tender process for offtake of both the 50 MW solar and 134 MWh BESS elements—supporting long-term commercial viability.
• Phase 1 is fully prepared for construction commencement in January 2025.
• A scalable development pathway is established, enabling a proposed Phase 2 expansion at approximately double the capacity.
