Galetech Energy Services team was appointed by ESB and Bord na Móna (Sundew) as part of the Owner’s Engineer team for the pre-construction and construction phases of the Timahoe Solar development.

• Delivering a large-scale solar project with multiple semi-state stakeholders.

Outcome

• Successful award in the Government tender for 70 MW solar offtake, underpinning the project’s commercial viability.
• Phase 1 completed in September 2024, delivered with strong coordination across semi-state partners.
• A future-ready platform established for expansion to approximately double capacity, alongside the addition of a new BESS project.
