Allód Hydrogen Storage Project
This subsea hydrogen storage project development is being led by Galetech Energy Developments. In 2022, we began work on investigating the feasibility of developing a green hydrogen subsea storage project in the Celtic Sea. Subject to successfully progressing the project through the development, licensing and permitting process and in consultation with local communities, the fisheries/seafood industry and other stakeholders, our plan is to bring this subsea hydrogen storage project into operation in the 2030’s.

About The Project
Quarry Tree Wind Farm is a proposed wind energy development. It would comprise of wind turbines with blade tip heights of up to 185m, each expected to generate around 6.0-7.2 megawatts. The project would also include turbine foundations, access tracks and crane hardstands, underground cabling to connect the turbines, an on-site electricity control building and a grid connection to the appropriate node on the national electricity network.
The proposed development is located between the existing Snugborough Wind farm and the two-turbine Corneen Wind Farm, approximately 2.5km north-west of Ballyconnell. Collectively, the turbines are expected to generate enough clean, renewable electricity to supply too around 54,600 houses each year.
A temporary 80-metre meteorological mast has recently been installed on site to gather data on wind speed, temperateru and humidity and airpressure. This information will help estrimate the potential energy output and design of the wind farm.
