Cush Wind Farm Project Phase II
Galetech Energy Developments, is continuing work on the consented Cush Wind Farm. We are further progressing plans for a proposed Cush Wind Farm Phase ll located east of the N62. Cush Wind Farm Phase l was originally proposed as an 11 turbine project and received planning for 8 turbines in November 2024. The remaining 3 turbines were paused at that time and we are now progressing plans for these turbines.
The project site is located in the townlands of Galros East, Whigsborough, Ballycolin, Eglish, Cush, Boolinarig Big, Glenns, Ross, Ballaghanoher, and Kilnaglinny, County Offaly.

About The Project
Cush Wind Farm Phase ll is a proposed wind energy development comprising of 3 wind turbines with blade tip heights of up to 200m, each expected to generate around 6.0 - 7.2 megawatts. The project includes turbine foundations, access tracks & underground cabling connecting back to the permitted control building in Phase l.
The project site is located, approximately 4km north of the town of Birr. Collectively, these 3 turbines are expected to generate enough renewable electricity to supply approximately 11,620 households annually, totalling approximately 42,600 for the 11 turbine project.
