Carrickallen Wind Farm Community Fund open for 2025 applications 📝

The fund will distribute over €20,575 to community and voluntary groups, not for profit groups, clubs, societies and organisations.

The aim is to deliver community good and services in the vicinity of the wind farm.

Eligible applicants include community-based project groups and voluntary organisations located within, or working with, communities in the vicinity of the development. Each group is permitted to submit one application per year, and all submissions are evaluated on a case-by-case basis in accordance with the fund's terms and conditions.

In previous years, the Carrickallen Wind Farm Community Fund has supported a diverse range of initiatives. For example, in 2024, the fund facilitated projects such as the "Looking Back to Look Forward" event by Laaragh United, which celebrated the club's history and promoted sustainability through reimagining unused spaces. Additionally, the Bunnoe Senior Social Gathering event strengthened social networks for the elderly by organizing theatre trips and Christmas social gatherings.
