Galetech Group Announces Major Expansion

On October 2nd, we welcomed Minister Niamh Smyth TD and representatives from Enterprise Ireland to our headquarters in Cavan, where together we announced a major new chapter in Galetech Group’s journey - the creation of 65 new high-value jobs as part of our ambitious expansion plans.

This investment in growth will see us double the turnover of Galetech Group over the coming years, bringing our total team to more than 215 people across engineering, design, planning, technical support, and business services. For us, it was important to share this moment with our staff - the people who have built Galetech from a local business into a trusted international renewable energy leader over the past 25 years.

Speaking at the announcement, Minister Niamh Smyth praised Galetech’s vision and commitment to sustainable growth:

“Today’s announcement from Galetech Group is a major vote of confidence in Cavan and Ireland as a hub for innovation and green energy. It is fantastic to see a locally founded company not only creating 65 high-quality jobs right here in the region but also leading the charge in new frontiers like e-Fuels and expanding into global markets such as the UK and Australia.”

With the support of Enterprise Ireland, Galetech is driving forward a 1,000 MW pipeline of renewable energy projects - spanning onshore and offshore wind, solar, and energy storage - while also investing in cutting-edge solutions like e-Fuels, which will help decarbonise challenging industries such as aviation.
