In 2023, Wind Energy Ireland launched a vibrant, informative calendar with the aim of sparking awareness and conversation around the importance of wind energy in Ireland. The calendar was more than just a way to track days—it was a powerful educational tool used in homes, schools, and offices across the country.

Each month paired stunning imagery of Irish wind farms with bite-sized facts and myth-busting insights about the wind energy sector. One side of the calendar focused on “Wind Facts”—highlighting how wind energy reduces electricity prices, supports job creation, and helps Ireland meet its climate goals. The other side tackled “Wind Myths”—dispelling common misconceptions around noise, health, property values, and tourism.

This Calendar was created to:

  • Educate the public on how wind energy really works

  • Promote climate literacy in an accessible, engaging format

  • Challenge misinformation with evidence-based insights

  • Celebrate the role wind plays in powering Ireland’s sustainable future

By sharing clear, trustworthy information through a familiar format, the calendar became a conversation starter in schools, community spaces, and local households. It also showcased the beauty of wind turbines in Ireland’s landscape—helping people see not just the science, but the story behind renewable energy.

We were thrilled with the positive feedback from educators, community leaders, and families who used the calendar as a way to connect with the topic all year long.
