Wind turbines capture the energy of the wind and convert it into electricity.
Wind energy is an alternative to energy produced by burning fossil fuels. Wind energy comes from a natural and renewable resource meaning it will never run out. The energy produced by wind is clean, it produces no greenhouse gas emissions nor emits air pollutants, and it uses very little water.
