Galetech Energy Developments Ltd. received planning permission on 21 November 2023, from ACP for 7 no. wind turbines with hub height of 104 metres, a rotor diameter of 162 metres and overall tip height of 185 metres in the townlands of The Ridge, Knocknabranagh and Knockbaun, Baunreagh, and Agharue, County Carlow and Coolcullen, Cloneen and Coan East, County Kilkenny and received planning permission on 5th September 2025 from ACP for 110 kilovolt electricity substation, approximately 8.8kilometres of underground electricity line, an electrical control unit and all associated works at Shankill and Ballygorteen, County Kilkenny; and Moanmore, Lackan and Baunreagh, County Carlow.
