Galetech Energy Developments Ltd. received planning permission on 4th November 2024, from An Coimisiún Pleanála for 8 no. wind turbines with hub height of 114 metres, a rotor diameter of 172 metres and overall tip height of 200 metres in the townlands of Cush, Galros, West, Boolinarrig Big, Eglish and Ballin down, Co. Offaly. Cush Wind Farm intend to submit a planning application for a 110 kilovolt electricity substation, underground electricity line, an electrical control unit and all associated works Q2 2026.
